Website Terms of Use
1. About this website
thelaughingdonkey.co.uk is operated by Darren Taylor trading as The Laughing Donkey, a sole trader in England.
Email: hello@thelaughingdonkey.co.uk
Website: thelaughingdonkey.co.uk
By using this website, you agree to these Website Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Website information
We aim to keep the website useful, clear and reasonably up to date, but website content is provided for general information and marketing. It is not a substitute for a project-specific quotation, contract, technical survey, legal advice, financial advice or other professional advice.
Examples, guides, tutorials and resource content are intended to help people understand content creation and related services. Results depend on the equipment, venue, platform, skills, connectivity and circumstances involved.
3. Services, prices and bookings
Descriptions and “from” prices on the website are indicative unless the page expressly says a fixed price applies. A project is governed by the quotation, booking confirmation and applicable Client Terms & Conditions.
Submitting an enquiry or contact form does not secure a date or create a booking.
A booking is only confirmed in accordance with the Client Terms & Conditions and the booking confirmation.
Website prices, packages and availability may change. A quote already accepted by us remains subject to the terms stated in that quote.
Travel, additional crew, specialist hire, connectivity, platform fees or unusual venue requirements may be quoted separately where applicable.
4. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the website and its original text, graphics, branding, photographs, videos, designs, downloads and other content are owned by or licensed to The Laughing Donkey and are protected by intellectual-property law.
You may view the website and print or save reasonable extracts for your own personal or internal business use. You must not copy, republish, scrape, sell, redistribute, reproduce at scale, remove ownership notices from, or create a competing commercial product from our website content without permission.
5. Downloads, templates and learning resources
Where the website offers free or paid guides, checklists, templates or training materials, the licence shown with the resource applies. Unless stated otherwise:
you may use the resource for your own personal use or inside your own business;
you may adapt a template for your own internal use where the format allows;
you must not resell, sublicense, upload to a template marketplace, share publicly, or distribute copies to unrelated organisations;
you must not remove The Laughing Donkey branding or copyright notices where the resource is supplied as a branded guide rather than an editable template.
If paid digital products are added to the website, any checkout-specific digital-content terms and cancellation information will apply in addition to these Website Terms.
6. Content you send to us
If you send an enquiry, file, image, video, logo, presentation or other material through the website or an associated transfer link, you confirm that you are entitled to provide it for the purpose described.
Sending content through the website does not give The Laughing Donkey permission to publish it for our own marketing. Any portfolio or promotional permission is dealt with separately.
7. Acceptable use
You must not knowingly:
use the website for an unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, hosting, forms, accounts or connected systems;
introduce malware, malicious code or automated traffic intended to disrupt the service;
misuse forms, upload tools or contact details for spam, harassment or abusive communications;
use automated extraction or scraping in a way that infringes our rights or materially burdens the website.
8. Third-party links and services
The website may link to or embed content from third parties. We are not responsible for the content, availability, security, privacy practices or terms of an external service that we do not control.
A link does not necessarily mean we endorse every statement, product or service on the destination website.
9. Website availability and security
We try to keep the website available and secure, but we do not promise that access will always be uninterrupted, error-free or free from every vulnerability. We may suspend, change or remove website features for maintenance, security or business reasons.
You are responsible for using appropriate security on your own devices and for keeping copies of any information or downloads you need.
10. Liability
Nothing in these Website Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or consumer rights that cannot be excluded.
Subject to that, we are not responsible for loss caused solely by relying on general website information where project-specific advice, testing or a quotation was reasonably required, or for failures of external websites and platforms outside our control.
If you are using the website as a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
11. Privacy and cookies
Our Privacy Notice explains how we use personal information. Our Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used. Cookie Preferences can be changed through the link in the website footer.
12. Changes to the website or these terms
We may update the website and these terms from time to time. The version published on the website will show the latest review date. Changes do not retrospectively alter an existing client contract unless both parties agree or the law requires it.
13. Governing law
These Website Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory rights about the courts or law that apply where you live.
